Why is playing volleyball necessary in the promotion of physical fitness and wellness?
Playing volleyball is great for physical fitness and wellness because it uses most major muscle groups at the same time. The activity of running, getting in position, hitting the ball and jumping uses and strengthens the upper body, arms, shoulders, thighs, abs and lower legs. It also has a cardio vascular nature to the sport, which means it strengthens your heart and vascular system. Volleyball also improves hand-eye co ordination, reflexes, agility and balance.
On top of all this it is fun and a team sport so it is a great way to lift your mental health and make friends in a fun friendly environment.
