Southeast Region Volleyball Academy (SERVA)

Male and female school-aged youngsters may participate in SERVA’s (Southeast Region Volleyball Academy) professional learning environment for a healthy and energizing after-school activity. Players of all ages in the Southeast Region may take advantage of SERVA’s programs, which are designed to help them grow as players. It is the goal of SERVA to serve as a bridge between the Volleyball League’s club, state, and national programs.

Spikezone Volleyball: Spikezone is a modified form of beach and indoor volleyball developed by Volleyball Australia specifically for kids in grades 8 through 13 to expand access to the sport. Spikezone’s mission is to increase participation in the sport of volleyball in schools throughout Australia, laying the groundwork for the country to maintain its international dominance.

Maribyrnong Sports Academy

Located in Maribyrnong College, a high school in Victoria, the Maribyrnong Sports Academy is part of the school’s athletic program. Junior Volleyball players at MSA are given an individualized training program aimed to help them achieve State, National and International honors while finishing their high school degree. Players’ technical and decision-making abilities and comprehension of game strategy are the primary goals we have for both Indoor Volleyball and Beach Volleyball. This program at Maribyrnong Sports Academy combines an athlete development program, as well as assistance for athletes in physical preparation, performance and video analysis and sports psychology.

KVA Future Stars Volleyball Academy

The goal of KVA Future Stars is to provide a safe and professional indoor volleyball training experience for boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 17 years old. Programs for the KVA Future Stars are always geared at teaching as much as performing. They instruct and train students to learn the fundamentals of indoor volleyball. As a result of the KVA Future Stars professional program, youngsters have been able to acquire strength while having a great time.

Cost:

Professional training with the KVA Future Stars Volleyball Academy costs $100 for one night per school term and $160 for two nights per school term. Casual – $15 per session, Training top – $35.

Programs Offered:

KVA Future Stars is a professional volleyball school that focuses on strength and fitness in addition to volleyball skill development as a key emphasis. Athletes will be physically prepared for the rigors of high-level competition.

  • Little Stars 10 – 11 years of age
  • Juniors 12 – 14 years of age
  • Intermediate 14 – 17 years of age

Holiday Training Camp:

Werribee Volleyball Training Camp: In order to participate in the volleyball camp, participants must be between the ages of 10 and 17. KVA Future Stars cover everything from setup to digging to spiking, and also playing games on the court.

Greater Melbourne Volleyball Academy

Australian volleyball’s most prestigious training facility is the Great Melbourne Volleyball Academy, or GMVA. GMVA has nine distinct training squads to accommodate each athlete’s unique demands as they progress through the ranks. Each training squad includes a head coach and an assistant coach who concentrate on the specific skill and physical development that is required for that age group and degree of expertise. As a result of this strategy, regardless of your age or skill level, you will always be able to play with other players who are at or slightly above your level.

Volleyball training at the GMVA comprises both beach and indoor training, with a focus on strength and fitness. The purpose of GMVA is not only to improve volleyball abilities, but also to grow players’ bodies and prepare them to play more volleyball at a higher level, all in a pleasant and supportive training environment. GMVA is located at State Volleyball Centre (Dandenong Stadium).

The full cost of GMVA is $800 for the full 12 month training program.

  • GMVA SpikeZone – GMVA’s entry level program for kids of all ages from 7 years old
  • GMVA Youth – The vast majority of GMVA athletes have their first year in the Youth Program

  • GMVA Junior – GMVA’s second to third year program
  • GMVA Senior – GMVA’s third to fourth year program
  • GMVA Elite – Open elite school aged program for year 12s
  • GMVA Centre of Excellence – For athletes that have finished secondary school and want to really push themselves to head overseas. The Full Time programs trains 5 mornings per week at the State Volleyball Center.

Beachvolleyball.com.au offers a number of options for lessons and training camps. They offer beginner classes for adults, squad training sessions, private lessons, social tournaments, leagues, corporate team building events, party rentals and online coaching. They are based in Maroubra Beach and Manly Beach in New South Wales, Australia.

Costs range from AUS $ 198 For 6 Weeks for beginner adult lessons to AUS $60 for one person private lessons.

Beginner 1

Beginner 1 is their most popular course. It consist of 1.5 hours per week in the span of 6 weeks. In this course, no previous volleyball experience is necessary. They will teach you all the skills for 45 minutes and then you get to put into practice what you’ve learned in some informal, friendly and competitive games. This course is a great way to make new friends. It is guaranteed that you will have the tools to be able to play in a social competition after this course.

Beginner 2

Beginner 2 is the course to select if you have experience playing organized volleyball previously or have completed the Beginner 1 course. The course will start out as 4-a-side and aims to get you to play 2-a-side by the end of the course.

Intermediate

The Intermediate course requires that you have 1-2 years previous experience, or have finished both the Beginner 1 and Beginner 2 courses. This course focuses on 2×2 Beach Volleyball including all the tips, tricks and tactics you need to play basic 2-a-side games.

Beginner Mix

This course is a mix between Beginner 2 and Intermediate because it is sometimes difficult to distinguish the player’s experience level between Beginner 2 and Intermediate.

Squads

Squads is not a course but requires that you must have completed up to the intermediate level courses. It can be played by 6 to 8 players only for 1.5 hours of intense 2×2 skill repetition training. Joining Squads is the best way to accelerate your skills. Training is every week and ongoing until you think you are good enough. Most squads sign up for 10 weeks minimum.

Juniors

The Juniors Course is for kids under 16. This course sees to it that your kids start on the right track with good technique instruction. Beachvolleyball Pty Ltd offers 20% students’ discount.
