Phoenix Volleyball

Phoenix Volleyball provides weekly summer beach volleyball programs, indoor clinics, and March break camps for young people. Available in full and half days. Basic technical abilities, motor skill development, and team play will be emphasized in the program’s curriculum. All Phoenix coaches are qualified and the Ontario Volleyball Association has sanctioned all of Phoenix’s curriculum.

PROGRAMS OFFERED

1. Beach Camps

Beach Volleyball Camps

Beach volleyball specialty training, strength and fitness, and life-skills instruction are all part of Phoenix Volleyball coed camps. Coaches at Phoenix Volleyball will teach you the two-on-two beach volleyball game and share their passion for the sport. As part of their training, athletes will aim to enhance their game’s physical and tactical qualities, and their decision-making skills. Training in mental and physical strength and conditioning, as well as nutrition knowledge, will be included into every training session.

High Performance Beach Camps

All athletes competing in OVA Beach events, Provincials, and Nationals are welcome to attend these full-day clinics.

Athletes will concentrate on technique, physical and tactical components of their game, as well as decision-making skills. Mental training, strength and conditioning, and nutrition instruction will be incorporated into each daily session since they are critical components of high performance.

Their top-tier coaching team will assist exceptional players in taking their game to the next level. Current international players Steve Hunt (France), Erik Mattson (Germany), Jori Mantha, and Ray Szeto, as well as Canadian national level/former university athletes Aaron Nusbaum, Ivan Reka, Tori Cowley, Chloe Biel, and Luke Sim, are all present.

2. Beach Training

This training program seeks to provide a comprehensive set of abilities required to compete and flourish in leisure or competitive beach volleyball settings. Athletes will concentrate on technique, physical and tactical components of the game, as well as decision-making ability, throughout each session.

Phoenix Beach Academy

Beginners: The program material will take a FUNdamental approach, focusing on teaching fundamental technical abilities, motor skill development, and team play in a safe and entertaining atmosphere. Each curriculum will integrate the fundamental abilities of serving, passing, setting, and attacking, and a report card will be produced at the end of each term.

Intermediate: The goal of this training program is to provide a complete set of abilities required to compete and flourish in a competitive beach volleyball scenario.

Athletes will concentrate on technique, physical and tactical components of the game, as well as decision-making ability, throughout each session.

Each weekly session will include mental training, strength and conditioning, and dietary guidelines, since these sometimes disregarded areas are critical when striving for greatness and consistency.

Phoenix High Performance Beach Training

The program is designed for club-level players who are competing in the OVA beach events, satellite tournaments, and invitational tournaments in 2021. Phoenix Volleyball has the best coaching staff, international and national level athletes, and strength and conditioning coaches to deliver the best training experience possible.

This training program seeks to provide a comprehensive set of abilities required to compete and flourish in a competitive beach volleyball context.

Athletes will concentrate on technique, physical and tactical components of the game, as well as decision-making ability, throughout each session.

The weekly session will include mental training, strength and conditioning, and dietary guidelines, as they are sometimes disregarded areas that are critical when aiming for excellence and consistency.

Phoenix HP Training provides essential preparation for the OVA beach provincial and national championships.

3. Indoor Programs

Prep Clinics – Sundays @ Junior Academy – Beginner

The Co-Ed Beginners program introduces athletes who are new to the sport to the game of volleyball.

The Beginner program material takes a FUNdamental approach, focusing on establishing basic technical abilities, motor skill development, and team play in a safe and entertaining atmosphere. Each curriculum will include instruction in the fundamental fundamentals of serving, passing, setting, and attacking.

This program will teach athletes the abilities they need to compete on school volleyball teams and in house leagues.

Prep Clinics – Sundays @ Crescent School – Intermediate

The Co-Ed Intermediate program is designed for players who have some volleyball experience but are unable to commit to Club level Competitive teams. The program’s material will be aimed to help athletes improve their technical talents while also exposing them to new approaches and tactics.

This program is designed for players who want to try out for our competitive club level teams as well as prepare for school tryouts.
